Overview

The KR VisionReach 22 Omni 20 cm is the mount that brings a camera, light, sensor, or monitor out from a VisionGrid 22 Pro frame to where it needs to look. It clamps to the 22 mm tube, gives you a controlled Omni arm for positioning, and ends in a standard ¼"-20 screw for your device.

The Omni gives full 360° rotation and a 90° pivot for precise aiming, with an interchangeable ball-head socket at each end and anti-slip rosettes that lock the joint so a set angle holds without creeping. A ratcheted handle makes locking quick.

At 20 cm / 7.9 in it is the shortest Omni length - and the stiffest, highest-capacity, and most stable of the Omni lengths. For most camera work on a VisionGrid 22 Pro bench, this is the right first choice: it gives the steadiest hold and carries the most payload of the Omni lengths.

A generic arm can hold a device for a while. VisionReach is built for setups that keep changing - you reposition the camera, swap the light, adjust the angle - without the arm slipping, twisting, or drifting out of position.

It's a known, reusable mounting path: a defined base that fits your frame, a defined arm class with a real load figure, and a standard device screw. When the layout changes, you adjust the arm instead of rebuilding the mount. If your camera needs a special interface, keep this as the standard mounting path and make only the device-side adapter plate custom - the rest stays reusable.

This kit is the middle link of the chain - it connects your 22 mm VisionGrid Pro tube to your device's ¼"-20 thread, base and arm included:

¼"-20 is the common camera/accessory thread. "Male" means this kit provides the screw; your device or adapter plate needs the matching female thread. If the image must stay level and can't twist on a single screw, add a locating pin or anti-rotation plate.

Omni or Super Knuckle?

Choose Omni when you want a repeatable, locked angle - its anti-slip rosettes index to a set tooth position and return to it, so a camera holds the angle you set. Choose Super Knuckle when you want fast, freehand positioning - its friction ball joints glide smoothly to any angle and lock with a single knob, and it offers a wider range of accessories. They simply hold differently: the Omni for an exact, repeatable angle, the Super Knuckle for quick, free movement.

This Omni reaches 20 cm / 7.9 in and carries up to 8 kg / 17.6 lb close to the clamp - the highest capacity of the Omni lengths - derating as the payload moves toward the tip or off-center. It locks to a repeatable indexed angle for static positioning and is not vibration-rated, so re-check the hold after heavy use.

Start with the shortest arm that reaches the target. The shorter Omni is cheaper, carries more load, and holds the image steadier - every extra centimeter of reach costs you money, payload capacity, and stability. The 8 kg figure is a close-in reference for the arm; usable load still depends on payload position, mounting angle, vibration, and cable pull. Secure the cable to the frame before judging stability - cable drag can shift a camera even within the load range.

Does the 8 kg load apply at full reach?

Treat it as a close-in reference, not a guarantee at maximum offset, under vibration, or with unmanaged cable pull. For camera alignment, pick the shortest arm that reaches.

Should I pick 20, 30, or 40 cm?
