The KR SightLink E3040 Vision Arm 30 cm (12 in) adds a small, lightweight device - a light, sensor, wireless transmitter, or accessory - to an extrusion machine cell you already have, without rebuilding the frame. It mounts to the SightLink E3040 base and extends a ¼"-20 male head for mounting a camera plate or device.
The Vision Arm is a precise articulating arm built for light devices: a central elbow that rotates 360°, with a ball joint at each end that rotates 360° and bends up to 90° for fine, infinite adjustment. At 30 cm (12 in) it reaches further than the Mini, so you can place a light or sensor where a compact arm can't quite get - while staying light-duty.
This is the flexible-arm route - a positioning and tuning tool for integrators, not a production mount. Use it to find and prove the right position; once the layout is locked, switch to the SightLink rosette-tooth / square-coupler version for a fixed, repeatable production mount.
Why SightLink
When the machine cell already exists, you don't want to rebuild it to add a light or sensor - and a one-off bracket locks you into one position before you've proven it. SightLink lets you mount onto the existing extrusion, fine-tune the device while the inspection is still being dialed in, and reconfigure by moving the arm instead of remaking a bracket.
This is a setup and positioning tool, not the production mount. An integrator uses it to get a light or accessory onto a customer's cell quickly, find the right position, and prove the inspection. A factory machine-vision team uses it the same way - to dial in the geometry on the cell. Once those positions are locked, the rosette/square-coupler version provides the fixed, repeatable mount a production line needs.
How It Mounts
This kit is the middle link of the chain - it connects your existing 20x20 / 30x30 / 40x40 extrusion cell to your device's ¼"-20 head, base and arm included:
The included hot-shoe adapter and 3/8"-¼" barrel adapter let you connect devices with different mounts and thread sizes. If image orientation matters on a small camera, add a locating pin or anti-rotation plate.
Vision Arm, Omni, or Super Knuckle?
The Vision Arm is the light-duty, low-profile option: a precise articulating arm that finely positions small, lightweight devices. Choose Omni when you need higher load and a repeatable, locked angle - its rosettes index to a set tooth position and return to it. Choose Super Knuckle when you want fast, one-knob freehand positioning and a wider range of accessories.
Reach and Load
This is a light-duty arm: keep the device under 3 kg / 6.6 lb, and treat that as the load held close to the base - a fully extended, sideways pose carries less. It reaches 30 cm (12 in) and is best for lights, sensors, transmitters, and small accessories - not a heavy camera, and not a production mount.

The Vision Arm is for lightweight devices - keep the payload within its 3 kg range and let the central elbow and ball ends do the fine positioning. The 19 cm (7 in) and 30 cm (12 in) Vision Arms are two different arm models, not a length ladder: the 30 cm (12 in) reaches further and carries a little more, while the Mini 19 cm (7 in) is the most compact and lowest-profile. A shorter arm is always steadier, so use this longer one only when you need the extra reach, and keep the cable managed.
